Qiao channels are either yang (YANGQIAO) or yin (YINQIAO) and have the ability when coordinated, to draw up much force and energy from the earth to the upper body. Raising power can be dangerous to some extent, but can make someone very agile and it is very necessary for power and inception of life.
The YANGQIAO channel starts from the heel and climbs the outside of the foot, ending in point 20 of the gallbladder meridian.
The YINQIAO channel all starts in the middle of the heel and goes up on the inside of the foot then connects with the Chong channel.
The Qi of these channels is responsible for nurturing and hydrating the body. It feeds the internal viscera and moistens the external skin pores.
In order for treatments to be effective, the YANGQIAO is treated for men, and the YINQIAO for women.
